Broadcasting in Kelantan took a major step into the future with the launch of Digital Radio Broadcasting System Migration Phase 1 at RTM Kelantan, ushering in a new era of digital sound delivery for the region’s public radio services.
Held on 7 July 2025, the migration initiative centers on the deployment of a state-of-the-art Digital Radio Broadcasting System, reinforcing RTM’s commitment to adopting next-generation tools that elevate audio clarity, system efficiency, and long-term scalability.
Two cornerstone technologies driving this upgrade are:
🎛 Calrec Audio Type R Digital Audio Mixer — a modular, networked mixing console offering flexible configuration and AoIP (Audio over IP) support for dynamic live and studio broadcast scenarios.
📡 RCS Zetta Radio Automation System — a comprehensive automation platform ensuring precise playout control, smart metadata tagging, and seamless scheduling for round-the-clock transmission.
This Phase 1 deployment at Jabatan Penyiaran Negeri Kelantan signals RTM’s strategic move toward nationwide digital migration, enabling better content management and future integration with digital broadcast standards.
