In a groundbreaking move for Malaysian broadcasting, Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) has officially launched the country’s first AI-integrated radio station within its Radio Muzik channel, introducing listeners to a revolutionary audio experience fronted by DJ Aira—a fully Artificial Intelligent DJ.
Developed by Jabatan Penyiaran Malaysia (RTM), Medialab Alliance Sdn. Bhd. , and partners, DJ Aira showcases the fusion of advanced machine learning and creative broadcasting, engaging listeners across various segments including Entertainment News, Trivia Artis, Info Trafik , Info Cuaca, and Layan Lagu Radio Muzik (Interactive song requests)
What sets DJ Aira apart is her dynamic on-air interactions with live DJs—DJ Aliff and DJ Myra—blending human spontaneity with AI consistency, all curated to serve Malaysia’s diverse radio audience.
The AI Radio initiative leverages cutting-edge broadcast tools, including:
Broadcast Cloud for seamless and remote production
Large Language Model (LLM) for intelligent, context-driven dialogue
Voice Cloning & Text-to-Speech (TTS) to generate lifelike vocal delivery
Tascam Sonicview 16 Digital Audio Mixer for pristine audio management
